Hi, I'm Antoinette
I am a Lebanese visual artist and art teacher. Painting has been part of my life since I was a teenager, and teaching has let me share it with generations of children and students.
My work is inspired above all by women — their instincts and their feelings — by my homeland, Lebanon, and by my faith. Through colour and form, I try to give shape to what women feel.
I was born in Chiyah in 1967. I studied drawing at the Michelangelo Institute with Asaad Ranno, then interior decoration, before earning a postgraduate diploma in drawing and painting from the Lebanese University (Branch I, Raouché) in 1993.
Since then I have exhibited widely — from Beirut's UNESCO Palace and Khan Al Franj in Saida to exhibitions and art forums in Syria, Jordan and Egypt. I am a member of the Lebanese Artists Syndicate.
Alongside painting, I have taught art for more than thirty years: at Al Amal Technical Institute since 1999, at Sarafand Public Secondary School since 2010, and earlier at the Nabatieh Technical Institute and Al Babliyeh School. Since 2005 I have also run summer drawing and art courses for children.
